Pearls by Helen is a jewelry design company located in Vancouver Washington. It was formed by the owner and designer, Helen Brock, in 2001 to facilitate the creation and sale of custom made jewelry featuring Chinese freshwater pearls, after she returned to the USA from Shanghai China.
About the Designer Helen lived in Shanghai China for over 3 years beginning in early 1997 and developed a keen interest in the beauty of pearl jewelry. She was able to visit and purchase components from pearl markets in Suzhou, Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong. She was also able to learn how to design and create both classic style and custom pearl jewelry while living in Shanghai. Helen's name in Chinese Characters is shown at the left. Most of the pearls and many of the components used in her designs have been personally selected, purchased and imported from China or Hong Kong by Helen. Other components, such as clasps, crystals and gemstones have been selected from first quality vendors in Hong Kong and throughout North America Helen has displayed her designs for several years at shows in Vancouver WA, the "Art & Elegance in Beads" shows in Portland, OR, at the “Artists in the Vineyard” shows in Ridgefield, WA and is a member of the Alcove Art Gallery in Ridgefield, WA While all of Helen's designs incorporate pearls, she uses many other components such as crystals, semi-precious gemstones, sterling silver findings, etc. to create custom necklace, bracelet and earring designs that you won’t find in any retail stores. |
